Air Whitsunday is the largest seaplane operator in the Southern Hemisphere. They have been proudly providing an unsurpassed tour and transport service in the Whitsundays for over 38 years. Their tours showcase a panoramic perspective of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park including the iconic Heart Reef; a pristine private snorkelling location amidst the coral suspended Hardy Lagoon; and ambient stops at the stunning Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsunday Islands National Park. A dedicated transfer service also enables visitors and locals alike to connect quickly and conveniently between the mainland and a number of the Whitsunday Islands.

Air Whitsunday is renowned for their seaplane services that rendezvous with their privately operated glass bottom boat, moored at an exclusive snorkelling location inside the coral suspended lagoon of Hardy Reef. Air Whitsunday cater to small numbers, adding a personalized touch, no crowds and the protection of this coral suspended lagoon to experience the myriad of fish life and vibrant corals from. All tours to this location are scheduled around a low tide, providing the first time snorkeler more confidence, while the more experienced can adventure and explore in this aquatic playground.

Along with snorkelling tours to this exclusive reef location; Air Whitsunday provide private picnics at Whitehaven Beach and the most comprehensive scenic flights on offer in the region - encompassing all the famous Whitsunday sights.

The discovery of “Heart Reef” in 1975 (now a Whitsunday feature of the international tourism market) by one of Air Whitsunday’s very own pilots has provided a focal point to their popular scenic flights and showcases the diversity of the Great Barrier Reef. Aptly the Heart Reef is a favourite for brochure shots and other colour promotional material for the Whitsundays.

Their fleet is also available for private chartered tours and for transfers between mainland and island destinations, providing an efficient and picturesque means of transfer amongst the Whitsunday Islands and mainland.

All tours and private charters are available from Whitsunday Airport on the mainland (approximately 10 minute drive from Airlie Beach central), Hayman Island & Long Island. Other ports may be available on request.
