Academy for Independence is a private practice founded by Dr. Kimberly Schehrer. We are passionately dedicated to empowering students to thrive in school and beyond. We also support parents in their challenges with raising their teens to become accountable, confident, resilient and critical thinkers who can manage life in spite of adversity. We subscribe to a simple, three-step approach.Dr. Kimberly is dedicated to helping your son or daughter become a confident, self-directed, and successful person in life. Individual sessions encompass academics in addition to social and emotional issues that may be impacting your teen’s life and consequently, hindering self-esteem and academic results.
