Altanidia Beauty Supplies, Inc., is a leading national retailer of domestic and internationally manufactured salon products and equipment. The business was established in the South Bronx, New York in July of 1991. Its founders, Nidia Liranzo and Deydamia Almonte, established the business as a sole proprietorship originally called Y & J Super Discount. Since its inception, Altanidia has shifted its focus from being a discount retailer of various miscellaneous goods to providing beauty salons as well as the general public with top notch beauty products at excellent prices. In 2005, Altanidia opened its only store Altanidia.com. In 2010, Altanidia.com was revamped in so as to provide its customers with the best shopping experience. With the revamping of its site, Altanidia is ready to expand from a mostly brick and mortar company into a nationwide online distributor of beauty products.
