Introduction
My love of Italian food began at a very young age. Having an Italian mother, who is an exceptional cook, I loved being in the kitchen with her, the smells, the tastes & visiting family in Lake Como and Emiglia Romagna (the gastronomic heartland of Italy) ignited a passion for simple, stylish, great tasting food. It was only natural that I become a chef and opened up Giorgio Armani’s first restaurant in England where I was first Head Chef then Manager. I have always wanted my own restaurant. Having grown up and living in Richmond I wanted somewhere I could go with my family and be happy to eat in, which meant high quality yet simple Italian food set in an elegant but relaxed friendly atmosphere. The idea of A Cena was born.
