Introduction
Recommended in the London Evening Standard (25 March 2010) by Charles Campion in his Where to eat curry in the City Guide, the Smithfield Tandoori is situated at 12 Smithfield Street London EC1, near the world famous meat market. We are proud to be a traditional Indian restaurant which delivers consistent, always fresh, quality favourites, as we have done for over 10 years in the City of London, near to the Barbican and Farringdon in EC1.
Our team includes our Head curry chef who creates traditional Indian restaurant food, but also more unusual dishes such as bater masala (quail). We also have a tandoori specialist chef, who creates magical dishes in the special tandoori oven - tandoori chicken, salmon tikka & chicken tikka skewers which come fresh and sizzling to your table. We have an extensive range of Indian restaurant vegetarian curry options. Always ask about our specials menu which changes regularly depending on what is in season and local availablity.
