After a career in graphic design and illustration I have returned to my original love for fine art drawing and painting. I focus primarily on landscapes and figurative subject matter. Although I have some classical training in plein air oil painting I have used watercolor as a central medium. Watercolor has properties which allow for unpredictability and spontaneity. Planning a painting strategy in watercolor is also challenging. I prefer painting on location or working from live models to using photographic reference.
