This Inner Richmond restaurant is unique as it is located on the site where one of the original Mel's operated from 1953-1974. Steven Weiss current co-owner and son of Mel's namesake Mel Weiss was a soda jerk there and was meticulous in replicating the details of its design for the present-day incarnation.
