Brain Child started in Seattle in 1988. The first location was in the basement of the founder’s house. Soon class sizes grew and the basement was no longer able to accommodate all the students. Brain Child classes were moved to the Lake City Community Center. This was not a permanent location since the rooms were rented on a use-by-use basis. Brain Child moved into its current location in 2008. Lake City operates three days a week: Monday Thursday and Saturday. Many parents enroll their children at Brain Child to help prepare them for the Seattle Public School District’s gifted program.... read more
