Sew Much Better was first established in Charleston SC in 1990 where it was a small fabric notions and alterations store for a couple of years. In 1998 it reopened in Newport News VA offering sewing instruction and alterations. After being put on the back burner for a while (10 years! Yikes!) I decided to resuscitate my passion. SMB is now a venue where multiple levels of sewing are taught to the novice fit is an institution and I still do alterations and clothing construction.
