「死に物狂いで向かってくる奴らとは死闘だったし、逃げ出す奴らは殺すわけにはいかないけど、逃げられないようにしなきゃならないから、追いかけ回して傷負わせて、でもそうするとまた、殺されると思って歯向かってくる奴も出てくるでしょ。大変だったんだから」 　 　そして、そんなふうに冬乃に説明してくれる藤堂に、 　「まったくだよ、」 　沖田が相槌を打ち。 　 　「もう埒あかないから逃げてる奴は吹き抜けへ蹴り落とした」 　（え） 　「ほんとさ勘弁してよね、何かいきなり降ってきたと思ったら。驚かさないでよ」 　「仕方ないだろ、」 　沖田が笑う。 　「とにかくあの場じゃ片っ端から戦闘不能にさせるしかなかったんだから」 　 　（・・・じゃあ） 　けろっとしている沖田を冬乃はまじまじと見つめた。 　（沖田様が病で離脱したというのは、やっぱり永倉様の史料の記録間違い・・？） 　 　もっともその顔なら、死ぬほど眠そうだが。 　 　今も大あくびをしている沖田を見上げながら冬乃は、永倉の記録を思い起こす。 　 　（たしか、） 　『浪士文久報国記事』、永倉が直筆した記録。 　それには、 　 　池田屋の主人が、現れた近藤達に驚き、 　二階の志士達へ告げるためか主人は、奥の階段のほうへと走ってゆき、 　近藤達はその後を続いて追ったところ、 　 　二階で志士たちが抜刀し、 　近藤はそれに対して「御用改めである、手向かうものは斬り捨てる」と威嚇した。 　それでも斬りかかってきた者を沖田が斬り捨て、それにより下へ逃げる者が出て、　近藤は「下へ」と指図した。 　 　とあったはず。 　なら、近藤達はある程度、奥の階段を上がっていて、 　そして沖田が最初に斬り伏せたなら、近藤と沖田が先頭を昇っていたはずで、 　永倉と藤堂は昇りきらずに二階を見上げる中途の位置、または表階段側を昇りきった位置に居て、 　階段は近藤達に塞がれているから、志士達は二階から一階へと飛び降りて逃げだしたのだろう。 　（おかしいのは、） 　そこで『沖田総司病気ニテ会所江引取』の一文がいきなり続いていることで。"集運 美國集運 日本集運 女生的形體美在很大的程度上 まだ闇属性を使えるもう一人の可能性もあるが 　まるで誰かが、その空いていた余白に後から書き足したのではないかとさえ思う程に唐突で、不自然な。 　 　 　（もしそんなさなかで“病気”で何らかの不調を起こしていたら、斬られもせずにいられるものなのか、ずっと不思議だった・・） 　 　 　この謎の沖田に関する一文の直後は、 　『是（これ）より三人奥奥ノ間ハ近藤勇～台所より表口ハ永倉新八～庭先ハ藤堂平助～』と、 　近藤、永倉、藤堂三人の、その後の移動先が書かれていて。　是（これ）、つまり、沖田が斬り捨て、志士が一階へと飛び降りてゆくのへ近藤が「下へ」と指図した、それにより、永倉と藤堂が一階へと完全に戻って、近藤自らも階段を駆け下り一階の奥の間へ、永倉は台所、藤堂が吹き抜けの中庭を固めた。 　謎の一文を除外して前後をそのまま続けて読めば、つまり沖田がその場に留まり、近藤、永倉、藤堂の三人が、煌々と照る灯りに助けられつつ一階を固めに行った、と受け取れる。 　しかし謎の一文を挟んだ場合。そうして三人が、逃げ場を求めて飛び降りる志士達に対して一階の場を死守するまでの間、沖田はどうしたのか。 　 　 　そもそも報国記事での永倉の一文では、とくに沖田が“倒れた”とも書いてはいない。 　 　なんらかの病気の不調が出たが倒れるほどではなかったとしたなら、沖田がその混乱と乱闘のさなかをひたすらぬって玄関まで進み、 　死闘を繰り広げている近藤と仲間を残して、ひとり遠くの会所まで行ったということになる。 　あまりにも、それは考え難い。 　 　 　ちなみに永倉が老年に口述で遺した小樽新聞の記事においては、”肺病で倒れた”とある。 　肺病はどうとしても仮に本当に沖田が倒れたのだとして、この状況で誰が、奥の階段から沖田を無事に運び出せたのか。 　その時点でそんなことが無事に済むような経路も人手もあるはずがなく、そんな早期に昏倒して斬られずにいる自体が、まず不自然で。... read more
