Ugly Duckling Portraits

Hi, I'm Charles Gilbert, Colorado Springs Portrait and Event Photographer. You may recognize me because there's a good chance that I've taken your family's portraits. I was trained by the "world's largest employee-owned photography company," - you know, one of those big chain portrait studios. I've captured the memories of several thousand local families and have taken over 80 thousand portraits. I learned a lot of great things about photography while managing (insert chain name here). I also gained quite a bit of insight on what most clients really want but aren't always getting. I learned that it's not necessarily the camera used that makes a quality portrait session; it's the person behind the camera that really counts. Someone who cares, connects and who is committed to the customer's experience, is the person who will deliver lifelong memories - not only in the portraits but the impression the customer feels of the portrait studio. I believe this type of quality experience will keep people coming back.

As I continue my passion for photography, I will deliver quality, lasting memories at a fair and affordable value and price. I will always allow flexibility and convenience by giving my customers choices. I'll go to your home or business; I'll provide the most backgrounds possible from mother nature, and I'll invite you to visit my quaint log cabin in-home studio located in scenic Black Forest, CO... just around the corner from Colorado Springs.

You may be a referral from a friend, you might have found me on the internet or Facebook, followed me from my "chain store" days, or you may just be in need of a photographer who truly cares. Regardless, I'm pleased you're reading this and hope you’ll give me the chance to earn your respect and business.

Sincerely,
Charles Gilbert

P.S. people often ask me, "Why Ugly Duckling Portraits?" Well, I've always been a kid at heart and I also figured if someone ever forgot my name they'd probably remember Ugly Duckling! :)
