Springbrook Research Observatory

Andre is owner, builder and custodian of Springbrook Research Observatory, who’s spinning dome structure, and two roll off roof Observatories, attracts thousands of visitors to Springbrook each year. Photographic images of the southern sky assist northern enthusiasts with their observations. Thousands of astro lover visits his place for fabulous idea to see planet and be a part of Science. Springbrook observatory has various types of telescope in order to make viewing moon and other planet closer and better. He was inspired to study at Astronomy at Swinburne University. Computers and telescope allows people to view celestial bodies such as Nebulae, Galaxies, Comets, Planets and the Moon in ‘real time’.

It took five months and five kilometers of jigsaw cutting to build the first dome of Springbrook Observatory. Since the beginning of time, human beings have been fascinated the celestial world. The observatory has attracted amateurs Astronomers from around the world and, visitors, Universities and multi-national media organizations. Thanks to the Internet, astronomers on the other side of the world can Share the wonder of our Springbrook dark skies with our online robotic Telescopes.

We have our own love lock/lucky wish lock fence at Springbrook Observatory. What better place to wish for long love than under the stars at the Observatory. Engrave with your names to be attached to the fence. If buying from interstate or overseas we can post your star chart to you and put your lock on the fence.

Springbrook Observatory – Direction Guidance

Route 1:
From The Link way Mudgeeraba 199m at the roundabout.
Take the first exit onto Gold coast Springbrook Road towards springbrook which is (approximately 38min 23.4km) until you see the Scuttlebutt (Restaurant) sign. Next on the left is the Springbrook Primary School, and the next driveway is the Springbrook Observatory.

Route 2:
You can also go via Nerang on the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road.17.9km. Then turn off on the left on Pine Creek Road 7.2km turn right onto Springbrook 4.8km to the Springbrook Observatory.
