Dr. Brent Conrad
Clinical Psychologist, Owner
I am a registered clinical psychologist and the owner of Green Leaf Psychological Services in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
I have 20 years of experience working in hospitals, forensic settings, psychiatric institutions, community agencies and clinics, university counselling centres, and private practice. I work with children, adolescents, and adults and have experience providing individual therapy, family counselling, and group therapy.
In therapy, I use a client-centred, solution-focused approach, combined with elements of cognitive behavioural therapy and motivational interviewing. I also have training and experience using a psychodynamic model and incorporate this approach when it can be helpful. I believe that developing a sense of hope, self-confidence, and taking control of one's life are three of the most important therapy goals and are also essential factors for personal growth and satisfaction.
