Freedom Whale Watch Combining fabulous food with world-class whale watching on the tranquil waters of Hervey Bay, Freedom Whale Watch & Charters is a unique way to experience one of nature’s greatest shows.

Between late July till November the family business run by Sue and Keith Reid operates ¾ day whale watch cruises from the Great Sandy Straits Marina in Urangan Harbour providing some of the best up close and personal humpback encounters imaginable.

Departing at 9:30am and returning at 3:30pm, guests are given plenty of time with the awe-inspiring humpback whales in Platypus Bay, with friendly “muggings” by the curious creatures a frequent occurrence.

Passengers travel in comfort and style aboard the spacious 58-ft power catamaran Freedom III, which once belonged to renowned film-maker, diver and ocean explorer Ben Cropp.

With a maximum of just 45 guests allowed, the intimate and personalised experience is enhanced with expert commentary, informative DVDs on the plasma TV, fabulous food and friendly service. Free Wi-Fi fo use of Social media.

During the Summer months Freedom III offers 2 cruises in Conjunction with Kingfisher Bay Resort. The Morning Adventure Cruise includes boom-netting, snorkeling and swimming in the calm waters off Fraser Island. With delicious catering for morning tea. The Sunset Cruise is a relaxing way to spend the evening enjoying the sunset over Hervey Bay with delicious finger foods and a glass of bubbly or other beverage included.

Freedom is also well equipped for private diving and fishing charters or private parties or celebrations like weddings or engagements,
