My name is Dallas Anderson. I joined the Erin Shank team in the summer of 2013. I am enjoying the opportunity of being able to helping others. I have a passion for helping people. I feel a smile and a kind word can make a difference in the world when people are facing difficult times in their lives.

I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Human Services and a minor in Business. I have worked for the school district, the printing business, customer service and maintenance field. I have 20 years customer service experience.

I am the proud mother of five children, two boys and three girls. My husband of twenty years has proudly served our country in the U.S. Army for more than nineteen years. He has been to Bosnia, Korea, Egypt, and Iraq. His career has been an adventure for the entire family. We are very proud of the dedication he continues to show our country. Texas was our first duty station and has been our home since 1995. My husband has many sacrifices to ensure his deployments have not disrupted our children’s home. Our family is very close. Everything my husband and I do, we do for our children.

Dawn Gustin is a Paralegal at the Waco office of Erin B. Shank, P.C. after joining the firm in August, 2010. Dawn first became acquainted with the law office when a family member required the services of a bankruptcy attorney and shared with Dawn about the exceptional service that was provided to them by Erin Shank and her staff.

Dawn has been married for 14 years to her husband Ron and they have two daughters. For several years, Dawn had the pleasure of staying home and overseeing the organizational, financial and day-to-day operations of her home and caring for her two daughters, the youngest being a special needs child. When the youngest was ready to start school, Dawn decided that it was time to return to the work force and to seek employment outside the home. Dawn thought that she would enjoy working in a bankruptcy law firm and after hearing of the very good service a family member had received from Erin Shank, Dawn decided to apply for a job. She was hired for the front desk position just a couple of days after being interviewed and has quickly become a very important asset to the firm. Dawn is now a paralegal with the firm.

The demands and pressures can be tremendous in a law firm dedicated exclusively to the practice of bankruptcy but Dawn does a great job of handling the multiple tasks associated with her position. The law firm clients really appreciate her warm and friendly personality. She takes her job very seriously and is eager to help the rest of the staff, and most importantly, the clients who come to Erin Shank looking for answers about their various financial problems.

Dawn enjoys spending time with her family and loves to cook. Both daughters think it’s a special treat when they get to spend time with Mom in the kitchen and create special meals and say that they will someday be “future cooks of America”! Dawn is very devoted to making sure her daughters are happy, healthy and unconditionally loved.

During her free time, Dawn and family enjoy going to the coast to visit the beach areas where she was raised. She also loves to read, especially action/mystery novels and anything involving a courtroom scenario. Dawn has been writing a book for the past several years and hopefully it will one day be published.

I have been practicing exclusively bankruptcy law in Texas for over 30 years. Unlike most other law firms, my firm is exclusively dedicated to helping individuals and small businesses find a way out of their financial difficulties through use of our nation’s bankruptcy laws. The decision to file bankruptcy is one of the most difficult decisions an individual can make. My clients come to my offices scared, nervous and embarrassed. They leave relieved that their financial problems have been solved in a legal, moral and ethical manner.

I served as the President of the Central Texas Bankruptcy Bar Association for 5 years. I am also the State Chair for the Western District of Texas for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. I teach other attorneys advanced bankruptcy law matters several times each year at national, international, state and local bar association continuing education seminars. I taught a course entitled “Debtors’ Rights and Creditors’ Remedies” as an adjunct law professor at Baylor Law School for over ten years.

I attended Texas Tech Law School and graduated, with honors, in 1983. While I was in law school, I served as an Editor on the Texas Tech Law Review and clerked for the Lubbock Bankruptcy Judge. I have a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and a Bachelors of Arts degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. I am originally from Dallas, Texas. My husband and I moved to Waco in 1995 from Dallas because we wanted to raise our children in a smaller town. We absolutely love Waco and Central Texas!

My name is Jozie and I’m thrilled to be part of the staff of Erin B. Shank, P.C.

With more than 10 years of customer service experience, I became aware of this wonderful opportunity to work with Erin and her team from a long time friend. I am an outgoing person with the drive to succeed in the customer service industry because of my passion to want to help people. We all go through difficult times in our lives and it is nice to know that there is help available to get through those times.

I am a mother of 2, one boy and one girl. I’m a long time member of the Waco community, having moved here from my hometown of Uvlade, TX in 1992. My favorite saying is one I was taught as a girl, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” That sentiment perfectly captures the attention, respect, and care that are given to every one of Erin Shank’s clients.

My name is Lena Hughes and I am a Senior Paralegal for Erin. I joined the firm in 2008 with a strong desire to help others. Erin has provided me that opportunity in the form of active participation in helping file bankruptcy cases.

I have earned my Bachelors of Science with a major in Criminal Justice. I have four minors which include Legal Studies in Court Process, Law Enforcement Skills, Crime Scene Investigation, and Corrections Technician. I am a Certified Correctional Professional and have been awarded the Principles of Supervision Award. I also carry several Certifications awarded through Microsoft. I am a Notary Public.

I have worked in many occupational capacities as I followed my military husband from duty post to duty post. These positions include Mayor, Postal Clerk, Enumerator for the Census Bureau, President of the Enlisted Spouses Club and Cub Scout Den Leader. I have worked 10 years for Texas Department of Criminal Justice. I am a lifetime member of the Cambridge Who’s Who.

I am a member of the Bell County Paralegal Association, the American Criminal Justice Association, the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation, Lambda Alpha Epsilon, the Arbor Day Foundation, ASPCA, The National Audubon Society and The National Wildlife Federation. I am a proud supporter of Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Mayo Cancer Treatment Clinic.

I have personally experienced the hardships of military life and all it entails. I am very proud of my husband of 26 years, a disabled veteran. He could not stand being on the side lines after retirement, so decided he could still serve his country as a contractor for the US Army. We are all so very proud of what he and other veterans do every day in support of our freedom and our very way of life. God bless each and every one of you.
