Introduction
Bodens performing arts has provided different levels of training in the performing arts for over 10'000 young people since 1973. We offer exceptional performing arts education in acting, singing and dancing through inspirational teaching and regular performance opportunities. We aim to transform the lives of young people through inspirational teaching, providing exceptional training in performing arts and access to higher education and career opportunities in the creative industries.
Open seven days a week, we provide performing arts training for students aged 3-19 years, in acting, singing and dancing. Students train during the week in individual classes, or at the weekend performing arts courses, offering an all-round training. We offer examination classes in Tap, Modern, Ballet, Singing, Drama and Musical Theatre. All our students get the opportunity to participate in performances.
Our full-time college offers fully funded performing arts courses with over 30 hours a week tutor-led training in acting, singing and dancing. Students cover physical theatre, classical and contemporary plays, musical theatre, urban, commercial, contemporary and modern dance. Training includes private singing and acting lessons for all our students and several opportunities to perform throughout the year.
Our vision is to be recognised as an outstanding provider and to ensure our graduates are fully prepared for future pathways, while empowered to lead purposeful lives with integrity and to place the well-being and development of our young people, staff and the local community at the heart of the organisation.

Adam Boden
Principal
Adam Boden, MA in Applied Theatre and PG Cert in Directing Text with Young People. Principal of Bodens Performing Arts, incorporating the Part Time Performing Arts School for young people, Bodens College of Performing Arts for 16 - 19 year olds, Bodens Youth Theatre and Bodens Agency. Committed and passionate; developing creative theatre, contributing to the impact and sustainability of the arts within education, maintaining the social and personal development of hundreds of young people, and producing really, really good theatre.
Work as a freelance theatre practitioner includes community and educational theatre; facilitated within primary schools, secondary schools, higher education and community centres. Innovative and creative devised theatre projects are undertaken through The Scaffold Young Theatre Company. I have strong beliefs in constant personal development in a persistently evolving society.
